So, Redmi Note 3 is one of the very few devices which has got the early unofficial Android Oreo build which is unstable, and not fit for daily usage.
With time, the ROM will get more and more stable. This article will be updated with the best Android Oreo Rom Links for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 from time to time. This article is for all those people who are excited and want to try out the new features of Android Oreo on their Redmi Note 3. Shoutout to the developer of this ROM, who has made it possible for us to try out Android Oreo way before it is officially out for most of the devices. Let’s begin!
Android Oreo Installation:Prerequisites:
Here are the essential things required for you to proceed further.
Custom Recovery (like TWRP)
Android Oreo Zip Package
Considering that you now have an unlocked bootloader and flashed TWRP recovery, just copy the zip file to the internal storage of your smartphone.
Follow these steps:
1-Boot to the recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up and Power Button simultaneously.
2- Once you are in the recovery, you can backup your data like I’m doing, click on backup and then swipe to backup. Now, if you’re on the official MIUI 8, then I will personally recommend you to backup the data of your device as MIUI is the most stable ROM for the Note 3, if you are someone who likes to switch between ROMs then you can skip the backup step.
3- Once you have backed up your data, click on Wipe, and then click on Advanced Wipe, select Cache, Dalvik, System, DATA and swipe to wipe.
4- Now, go back and click on Install and Navigate to the folder where you copied the downloaded zip package of Android, click on the package and click on swipe to confirm flash.
5- Once the ROM is flashed, click on reboot and you will boot into Android Oreo for Redmi Note 3.
6- Now, if you see the decryption error, just power off your phone, boot back to the recovery and click on Mount, Mount USB Storage and then connect your phone to your Computer and Copy the data to your Computer.
7- After that, boot back to TWRP recovery and click on wipe then Format Data, type YES and press OK.
7- After the format has been done, reflash the ROM and Reboot and you’ll be good to go. Also can flash pretty much any ROM with this method on your Note 3.
